What do we do with adversity when it comes our way?  Does it stop us in our tracks or does it motivate us to greater things? Could adversity possibly be part of a process that produces greatness?  These are questions David Garrard asked and answered during his presentation at the 2015 Georgia Independent Schools Association annual meeting .  Walking onstage trussed up in a strait jacket, David explained how in life and in magic adversity calls forth every bit of our skills, wisdom and physical and emotional energy.  He then escaped from the strait jacket in just under 3 minutes, demonstrating how through hard work and practice he had learned the skills necessary to overcome the challenge of the jacket and the adversity it creates.  Check the It’s Magic gallery for photos of David in action at GISA!
